Today's blog is a little unconventional but I think it relates to the Beauty Tips section of my blog. So here is todays "beauty tip".......DO NOT USE PRODUCTS TESTED ON ANIMALS. I'm sure you're thinking right now "but Lexie you use Clinique." Yes, I do use Clinique and that is because nothing else works on my face without it breaking out. However, Clinique states on their website that they are trying to become completely cruelty free. The following is part of the statement on their website. "The Estée Lauder Companies Inc.(Clinique is owned by Estée Lauder) is committed to the elimination of animal testing. We are equally committed to consumer health and safety, and bringing to market products that comply with applicable regulations in every country in which our products are sold." So this essentially means they animal test in countries that require it. Which still really pisses me off but it it sounds like they are trying to change that. However, if you don't need to use Clinique.....don't. After reading more about animal testing I am going to try and transition to all cruelty-free products.

I have a cute little bunny named Norman and he is my world. I listed some photos of him below. So every time you use a product that is not cruelty-free, imagine him along with countless other bunnies, dogs, cats, mice, etc getting tortured.....and worst of all, remember that you are supporting that. I am guilty of using brands that test on animals but I will do my best to find alternatives.

You may be asking what triggered having this type of blog post today. My aunt tagged me in a Facebook post that said Nars (a very large makeup brand) is going to start testing on animals. See video on Facebook here. However, it hasn't happened YET. So we are trying to stop it. There are so many ways you can help to stop animal testing. Here are just a few to get you started:

This next one will allow you to understand what animals are used for what type of testing. It will explain how to transition to cruelty-free products and will educate you on exactly what is behind your beauty products.
